The Mountains & The People Volunteering Opportunities

The five-year Mountains & The People project is and exciting new opportunity for the people of Scotland and beyond the chance to play an active part in the conservation of our nations’ most iconic mountains.

Conservation volunteering for The Mountains & The People project will give you a chance to get out in the Scottish Mountains, care for the special places in our National Parks, learn new skills, meet new people and have fun.

Get involved by taking part in some of the conservation volunteering activities that will be running throughout the year and will include building and maintaining footpaths as well as helping to conserve mountain habitats.

Upcoming volunteering events include:

Saturday 23rd July – Meall a’Bhuachaille, Glenmore Forest (Cairngorms)

Wednesday 27th July – Corrie Chash, Loch Muick (Cairngorms)

Wednesday 3rd August – Ben A’an (Loch Lomond & Trossachs)

If you cannot make it to these dates, there will be lots of other opportunities to join us with at least 3 regular volunteer tasks each month.

Every 1st Wednesday of the month in Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park

Every 3rd Wednesday of the month in Cairngorms National Park

Every 3rd Saturday of the month alternating between each National Park
