Ben Ledi – On our mountain maintenance volunteer tasks you will undertake what is known as a “drainage run”. This means walking the route of the path, with a member of The Mountains & The People team and other volunteers, clearing the drainage features as you go. Think of it as a nice walk on an iconic mountain in the National Park, with a spade. This work is vitally important to ensure the newly built paths are kept in a good condition.
We will be walking path on the Ben Ledi path which is one of the newly built paths in the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. Mountain maintenance days are physically active days in the Scottish mountains, be prepared for a long, steep walk, manual labour and lots of fresh air.
To see the list of paths that our mountain maintenance volunteer task will be working on, have a look at our Paths page.
