To facilitate the delivery of this complex and innovative project the Cairngorms Outdoor Access Trust have recruited a project team who will work across both National Parks throughout the project.
Activity Project Officer
Rosie works across the project and coordinates all volunteering and education opportunities. Rosie has 14 years’ experience working with conservation volunteers and education groups around the world, and will be out and about in both National Parks encouraging as many people as possible involved in the project.
Gordon Paxton White
Technical Projects Officer
Gordon is responsible for the supervision of the project’s capital works, overseeing 125km of upland path improvements. With over 15 years’ experience in the upland conservation industry Gordon will support teams of specialist contractors to deliver complex works in remote and challenging locations.
Training Officer – Cairngorms
Keith heads up COAT’s Cairngorms training centre, delivering SVQ training in Environmental Conservation. Joining the team from Northern Ireland Keith has a strong background in path and trail construction, conservation and visitor engagement.
Training Officer – Loch Lomond & Trossachs
Kevin leads our Balloch training center in Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. Bringing together his experience gained through an 8-year career with Paths For All and work as a technical officer for the Cairngorms Outdoor Access Trust Kevin now inspires the next generation of conservation worker through delivering SVQ training in Environmental Conservation.
Activity Programme Manager
Tom works across both of Scotland’s National Parks supporting the team and our partners to deliver the project’s activity plan. Tom’s background in conservation, community development, volunteering and education equip him well to guide the delivery of this unique project.
