Since we started the main delivery of The Mountains & The People project in April this year, volunteers have played a massive role in the work we have done. Volunteers have come from far and wide to help conserve the natural heritage of Scotland's National Parks and we've managed to achieve some great things.
This weekend a group of hardy volunteers braved the freezing temperatures to undertake some general maintenance of the Falls of Bruar circular route. This popular path needed this important work completing before the winter weather really sets in and we were happy to help.
On Wednesday 16th November a group of 8 volunteers came out to help fix a popular walking route through the Torphantrick Woods on the Glen Tanar Estate. We repaired 3 seperate sections of path each with difference issues.
Conservation Volunteering in Scotland's National Parks.
We are still planning on offering volunteering opportunities in Scotland's National Parks throughout the winter. We will keep the tasks at a lower level so that hopefully snow will not stop us going out.
