Job Opportunities with The Mountains & The People

Do you want to help preserve our nation’s most iconic landscapes? Would you love to work outside in upland environments? Are you passionate about the benefits of conservation? Do you enjoy meeting new people and learning new skills?

YES? Then our exciting opportunities to join The Mountains & The People project as a Trainee Upland Path Worker or the Activity Project Officer (Maternity Cover) may be perfect for you.

We are currently looking for 14 individuals to join The Mountains & The People project on a work based training course within the Cairngorms or Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. Over 6 months you will learn practical skills in upland path construction, maintenance and conservation and work towards a level 2 Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in Environmental Conservation. This qualification is administered through the Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA).

The other role we have available is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced conservation volunteering coordinator to join our team.  The successful candidate will work across a wide range of volunteering, education and public engagement activities to involve the people of Scotland and beyond in the conservation of our National Parks most iconic mountain landscapes.
