Next Step Volunteer led walks

April 22 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Wild Cat Trail, Newtonmore.  10am – 12 noon

Badenoch and Strathspey Ramblers extend a very warm welcome to new walkers who might like to join them on a gentle led walk along the Wild Cat Trail in Newtonmore.

No previous experience is necessary for this walk, it is over easy terrain and will be led at a gentle pace.  The full route is a circular walk that has lovely views of Newtonmore village and beyond, taking in the banks of the Spey and up Calder Gorge.   The  Badenoch and Strathspey Ramblers plan to walk the whole circuit and invite visitors to join them for the first part of the walk (2.5 to 3 miles) returning by a short cut.  The walk should last about 2 hours.

The path can be muddy in places although stepping stones are in place so we recommend walking boots or sturdy shoes. We will stop for a short break so please bring a packed lunch or refreshments with you and also waterproof and warm clothing as a precaution.

We are a very friendly group based in the Aviemore area. We hope you will enjoy meeting some new people and perhaps learning new places to walk, we’d be delighted to share our local knowledge of the area with you. Please call us if you’d like to come along or if you have any further questions and we look forward to meeting you in April.

Distance: 2.5 – 3 Miles
