22nd November 2017 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
We will be working alongside the ranger service at Glen Tanar Estate near Aboyne. The day will run from 10am-4pm. We will be doing some habitat management work at the Fairy Lochan to open out the area for dragonflies and damselflies.
You will need to bring appropriate clothing including waterproofs and sturdy toe protecting footwear. You might also want to bring a hat, extra socks and plenty of layers. We will be working in the water, at the edge of the Lochan so wellington boots are required. If you have your own waders even better!
You will also need lunch, snacks and a drink. We have a supply of work gloves for volunteers and steel toe capped wellington boots which volunteers can borrow. Toilet facilities are available at Glen Tanar Visitor Centre which is within walking distance of the Lochan.
The meeting place is the Glen Tanar visitor centre at 10am. Transport is available from Aboyne.
